NEW GRANT THORNTON BUILDING

CSi Thabile is a leading data cabling and networking Solutions Company offering turn-key solutions and services, building the foundation for a secure and available environment. Established in 1981 as Computer Site Installations, now as CSi Thabile, CSi continue to apply knowledge and understanding of data center design enabling them to provide the physical platforms required to secure, manage and control the support systems, which is so critical to the IT infrastructure.

CSi Thabile’s good reputation and turn around earned them a tender to work on the Refurbishment of The Willows, Grant Thornton’s new office premises in the Wanderers Office Park, on Corlett Drive in Illovo, Johannesburg. In addition to upgrading the interior, the contractor will also upgrade the exterior of the building. Completion is scheduled for March 2015. CSi Thabile were responsible for installing the physical layer of fibre and copper cables throughout the building in a structured manner with all the floors having their own network room with OM3 fibre connectivity to the distribution rack in the server room.

In addition, all of the Category 6 data cables are accommodated in the floor void. The fibre cables were OM3 and the Copper cables are a combination of Category 6A and Category 6. Regardless of working under extreme pressure CSi Thabile management team, understand the importance of integrity, honesty and quality in the retention of customers hence their trained staff managed to execute the work on time.
